Overview
The Indian FTR is a streetfighter motorcycle. The bike is inspired by the sport of ‘Flat-Tracking’ and is the only motorcycle of its kind from the manufacturer.

The bike is sold in four variants: FTR, FTR S, FTR Rally, and FTR R.
Indian FTR Design
The bike’s design deviates from Indian Motorcycle’s classic cruiser design language, but it has a very distinctive look. The circular headlight, upswept exhaust, and the sculpted fuel tank are unlike what we have seen on other bikes from Indian Motorcycle. We think the bike looks the best in the ‘Black Smoke’ colour scheme. Also, the bike’s tail section is sleek and merges into the seat section beautifully.
Indian FTR Engine
The Indian FTR is powered by a 1,203cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine that produces 125PS and 120Nm. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Indian FTR Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Indian FTR gets an inverted fork and monoshock. For the braking, it gets 320mm dual discs at the front and a 265mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It rolls on 17-inch wheels wrapped in a 120-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. It has a 165mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 233kg. It has a 13-litre fuel tank and a seat height of 780mm.
Indian FTR Features
The Indian FTR comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. For riding aids, the bike gets cruise control, rear lift-off control, wheelie control and a stability control system too. Also, the lighting setup of the bike is all-LED.
Indian FTR Competition
While the Indian FTR is not on sale anymore, the other similarly priced bikes include the Kawasaki Versys 1100 and Speed Triple 1200 RS.
