About BMW F650
BMW knocked the auto market with BMW F650 in the first quarter of 1993. Further BMW tied up with Hero around a decade ago and launched the F650 Funduro on Indian roads, which was priced around 5 lakhs and was a rear spotted bike of that time. Later on with the downfall in demand, Hero and BMW eventually had to lower down the price of the same to approximately 2 lakhs, to finish the stock, but all in vain. Now with all new features and specifications, BMW is ready to hit the auto world once again with its new version of BMW F650 by the end of May 2012. Currently, Navneet Motors are the sole authorized dealers for BMW in India. As per latest updates BMW S 1000RR and BMW R 1200GS would hit the Indian roads with the cost price of Rs. 20 lakhs per bike.

BMW F650 Expert Review
BMW F650 GS is powered with a 798 cc engine and provides full torque across the entire engine speed range, with a torsional stiff space frame which not only gives it a unique look, but also allows plenty of space for the extra highlight such as the large airbox and the fuel tank under the seat. The bike can be used on and off road and accordingly the seat height is kept 820 mm with standard ABS. The price of BMW F650 is expected up to Rs. 10 lakh (approx.) as per the company updates.
.BMW F650 Funduro and F650ST Strada were initially introduced in Europe and USA in 1993 and 1997. It was the first BMW motorbike with a chain drive. The original BMW F650 single-engine was manufactured by an Austrian company ‘Rotax’ while the bike was assembled by ‘Aprilia’. The production of the dual-purpose motorcycle BMW F650GS started in 2000. Later on in 2004 BMW decided to produce a bike with high compression ratio and twin spark plugs, which added excellent fuel economy and low emission exhaust, giving the bike new elevations.
.BMW F650 may well be the entry-level version of the GS family but the digital display, rear-mounted locking gas cap, controls and the elegant engine makes it a perfect dirt bike. Also the use of disengage able ABS ensures supreme controllable handling in adverse conditions, while TPC allows the rider to keep an eye on tyre pressure as and when required. It uses an MF battery with a halogen headlight and a dual horn system. Some of its wonderful features include stylish step up seat, low fuel, oil and battery indicator, high oil temperature indicator and choked air filter indicator which are rarely noticeable in other bikes.
