Top 5 Best-Selling EV Brands: June 2025

According to the FADA (Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association) sales data that we have received for the month of June 2025, we compiled a list of the top 5 best-selling EV brands in the country:

TVS Motor Company

The Indian brand has been doing quite well in the EV segment with its family-oriented TVS iQube range. TVS sold 25,300 EVs in the month of June 2025, a 2.96% increase in Month-On-Month (MoM) sales when compared with May 2025. 

It is also the best-selling electric scooter for the month, and even when it comes to the Year-On-Year (YoY) sales, it has shown tremendous growth with an 80.34% increase when compared to June 2024. With the launch of the 2025 range, as well as the new 3.1kWh variant, expect the sales to go up even further in the coming months.

Bajaj Auto 

On the second spot, Bajaj is just behind TVS with impressive sales numbers with its electric sub-brand, Chetak. In just about a year, Bajaj has gone a long way thanks to the Chetak’s roots to the original Chetak, a family-friendly petrol-powered scooter launched in the 1970s. The company sold 23,032 EVs in June 2025, a 5.59% MoM sales growth. The YoY sales though, has grown by leaps and bounds with an increase of 154.47%. Now with the launch of the affordable Chetak 3001, Bajaj seems to be well prepared to take the fight to TVS.

Ola Electric 

Ola Electric was dominating the EV space in the country with the S1 range that came with several variants with different features at varying price points. Its impressive spec-sheet made it the best-selling electric scooter for several months last year. However, things are different this year as the brand has slipped to third place. 

Multiple reasons can be attributed to the decline in sales figures, including legal issues with its dealerships (now claimed to be resolved), service-related challenges, and delays in the deliveries of its new products. Ola only sold 20,190 units in the month of June 2025, a decent increase of 9.13% in MoM all things considered. However, the YoY sales figure is a different story altogether. It has fallen by a significant 45.22%. Ola will have to take extra efforts in streamlining its sales and service if it were to ensure it retains the customer’s trust.

Ather Energy

Ather Energy has always been known for their well-engineered products. The 450 series practically popularised the sporty e-scooter segment. The EV maker also offers something worthwhile for family e-scooter buyers with the Rizta range. The Rizta proved to be a hit as it helped Ather sell 14,526 units in June 2025, a 12.99% increase in MoM sales when compared to May 2025. 

Also, the YoY sales have increased by an incredible 133.69%. The EV maker seems to be determined to improve the sales even further with the planned unveiling of its range of affordable e-scooters based on the new ‘EL’ platform in August this year.

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida

While Hero MotoCorp is one of the most well established manufacturers in the petrol-powered two-wheeler industry, it debuted in the EV race with its sub-brand Vida quite late. This is apparent in their sales figures too, as it is lagging far behind Ather’s numbers. Vida managed to sell 7,668 units in June 2025. However, by Vida’s own standards this is a consistent MoM sales growth of 7.02%. 

What’s even more impressive is that it managed to grow by 148.88% when it comes to the YoYsales. Hero seems determined to claw its way to the top with the launch of the Vida VX2 range. The biggest trick up the VX2’s sleeve is that its entry price point is significantly lower than any other scooter from mainstream manufacturers. In fact, the Vida VX2’s starting price is as much as a mid-range smartphone!
