Moto Guzzi Sports 8V

India got another tourer machine in the form of Moto Guzzi 1200 Sports 8V. The bike aims at touring lovers, who crave for a complete package at a worthy price. This is the fourth offering from Moto Guzzi in the country. With its unveiling, the Indian buyers now get another admirable choice in the tourer bike section.

The bike is powered by a 1151cc, 90° V twin engine that churns out a maximum power of 108hp at 7500rpm with a peak torque of 108Nm at 6400rpm. The bike features sequential multi point fuel injection system with 50mm twin throttle bodies to provide crisp throttle response and enhanced power delivery. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission system.

Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport 8V is crafted on high tensile steel tubular perimeter down tube type frame. It runs on 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear tyres. The suspension duties are carried out by 45mm forks at the front and monoshock with progressive linkage at the rear. For stopping action, it is fitted with 320mm dual discs with Brembo four piston calliper at the front and 282mm rotor disc with Brembo twin piston calliper at the rear, equipped with Continental two channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The bike measures 2260mm x 870mm x 1160mm (LxWxH), with a minimum ground clearance of 185mm.

Coming to the design, the bike is crafted neatly to give it a rugged image. The front fascia has a big round headlamp incorporated with a projector light that looks classy. A body coloured visor is also equipped that blends perfectly. The body profile of the bike goes ascending while approaching the end. The two into one exhaust system looks rugged. The instrument cluster is easy to read comprising an analogue speedometer, tachometer and fuel gauge dials along with other indications. Moto Guzzi 1200 Sports 8V comes with a wide range of accessories, that enhances its touring abilities. The bike sports a massive fuel tank of 23 liter capacity to enable hassle-free long runs.
