Bike can move even from 2nd gear with good clutch control. Mileage is around 52 in city and 58 on highways. Vibrations mostly start after reaching the speed of 90 kmph. Yes, I would recommend this bike for beginners, students and office commuters. It is easy to ride daily, gives good mileage and looks decent. Not meant for aggressive riding or very high speed highway usage.
