Aprilia Tuareg 660 Design
The design of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 focuses on off-road readiness with a an upright visor, spoke wheels, minimal bodywork, handguards, lower chain protector, 3-section headlamp, and a tall stance. The fuel tank has been shaped in a way to ensure the rider can secure their knees while off-road riding, and the tail section is compact. Overall, the styling looks the part of an adventure bike, with some visual references to Dakar rally bikes. The Rally variant adds a higher seat, gold colour handlebar and wheels, high mount front beak mudguard, aluminum sump guard, and a longer sidestand.
Aprilia Tuareg 660 Engine
Powering the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a 659cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine shared with the RS 660 and Tuono 660. It is Euro 5+ emission norm compliant, produces 80.21PS at 9,250rpm, 70Nm at 6,500rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. A bidirectional quickshifter is offered as an optional extra accessory fitment, and the Rally variant adds an SC Project Slip-on exhaust.
Aprilia Tuareg 660 Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 uses a tubular steel frame, 43mm inverted fork and monoshock - both from Kayaba (KYB), fully adjustable with 240mm wheel travel. It gets twin 300mm floating front discs with Brembo 4-piston calipers, a 260mm rear disc with a single-piston Brembo caliper, and metal braided brake lines. It gets a 21-inch, 90-section front and an 18-inch, 150-section rear - cross wire spoked wheels with tubeless tyres. It has a 204kg kerb weight (199kg for Rally), 18-litre fuel tank, 860mm seat height (880mm for Rally), and 240mm ground clearance.

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 gets a 5-inch full colour TFT console with automatic brightness adjustment and all-LED lights. It is equipped with Aprilia’s APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronics suite which includes throttle-by-wire, 4 ride modes that change the engine maps (Urban, Explore, Off-Road, and Individual), traction control, cruise control, engine brake control, rear wheel lift off control, and switchable ABS. An optional accessory called Aprilia MIA enables smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and music control via the console.
