This Moto Morini ADV Could Be The Ultimate Himalayan 450 Rival

Moto Morini recently unveiled their latest Adventure bike, the Alltrhike 450. The new bike has quite a bit to offer and we think it could be the ultimate Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rival if it comes to India. 

The bike has a modern design, which incorporates a few unique bits. The bike gets a twin-projector LED headlight setup, combined with a tall wind-screen. The raised front fender at the front also gives the bike the typical offroader look. The headlight section and the front has a minimalist look, which makes the bike stand out from the other ADVs in the segment which have mostly gone for Dakar race bike inspired designs.

Powering the Alltrhike  450 is a new 450cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which produces 44.8PS at 8,500rpm and 42Nm at 6,800rpm. With this power and performance, the bike has a slight edge over the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which produces 40PS and 40Nm.

Coming to the underpinnings, the Alltrhike 450 is built on a steel chassis. The suspension setup consists of a 41mm Kayaba inverted fork with 208mm travel, adjustable preload, compression and rebound. At the rear, the bike gets a linkage-type Kayaba monoshock with 190mm wheel travel, and adjustable preload and damping. The bike rolls on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup. Braking is handled by a 320mm front and 255mm rear disc setup, with dual-channel ABS. 

The bike is not the most feature-packed, but has the essentials covered. It has a traction control system and a switchable ABS system which allows riders to disable ABS at the rear. This makes the bike a bit more capable offroad, allowing experienced riders to lock up the rear wheel to execute controlled slides.

The MotoMorini Alltrhike 450 looks like a promising adventure bike which does tick all the right boxes. It could be a really good alternative to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. That said, Moto Morini currently offers one ADV in India with two variants, the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 and the X-Cape 650X. The Moto Morini X-Cape 650 is priced at Rs 5,99,000 (ex-showroom), which is a bit too expensive.

Bringing the ALLTRHIKE 450 to India could offer the customers a more affordable entry point into Moto Morini. It will also give the brand a head start in the parallel-twin Adventure bike segment, which will heat up in the coming months with the upcoming BMW F 450 GS and the CFMoto 450MT. Currently, the brand has opened pre-orders for the bike and it is expected to reach showrooms abroad by September 2025. However there’s no official word yet on if it will come to India.
