2026 Bajaj Chetak C3502 Variant Explained: Is It Worth The Extra Money?

Not too basic, not too expensive — the Chetak C3502 might just be the sweet spot in Bajaj’s electric scooter lineup

The Chetak C3502 sits right in the middle of the 35 series range: it slots between the more affordable 3503 and the top-spec 3501, offering a balance between features, performance, and price.

What makes the 3502 particularly interesting is that it retains most of the important premium bits from the higher variants while still managing to stay relatively accessible. It gets the same battery pack and platform as the rest of the lineup, along with a solid feature list and the classic Chetak styling that the buyers and we love. So if you’re wondering what exactly the Chetak C3502 offers and whether it’s worth considering over the other variants, here’s everything you need to know.

Price

The Bajaj Chetak C3502 is priced at Rs 1,35,306 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). This places it right between the entry-level 3503 and the flagship 3501. For the extra money over the 3503, buyers get additional features, slightly better equipment, and a more premium overall experience.

Model  Price (ex-showroom)
Chetak C3501 Rs 1,42,507
Chetak C3502 Rs 1,35,306
Chetak C3503 Rs 1,16,807

Design

The Chetak C3502 follows the same design language as the rest of the Chetak family. It keeps the rounded bodywork, smooth side panels, clean lines, and minimalist styling that make the scooter look elegant without trying too hard.

Unlike many electric scooters that lean heavily into futuristic styling, the Chetak feels more timeless. It has a mature design that appeals to both younger riders and older buyers alike. One of the biggest highlights continues to be the all-metal body construction. This gives the scooter a sturdier and more premium feel and also adds to the overall fit-and-finish, which has always been one of the Chetak’s strengths.

The scooter is offered in 4 colourways: Moon White, Brooklyn Black, Indigo Metallic, and Matte Coarse Grey. Overall, the design doesn’t scream for attention, but that understated premium feel is exactly what many buyers appreciate.

Features

The Chetak C3502 gets a decent feature list that will satisfy most urban riders. It comes equipped with a TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity and connected features. The interface looks clean and modern while still being fairly easy to use.

The scooter also gets:

  • Bluetooth connectivity

  • Call and message alerts

  • Music control

  • Turn-by-turn navigation

  • Reverse mode

  • 35-litre underseat storage

  • Eco and Sports ride modes

  • Hill hold assist

  • Keyless operation

  • Smartphone app support

Compared to the 3503, the 3502 feels noticeably more premium in terms of tech and convenience features, making it better suited for buyers who want a more modern ownership experience.

Safety & Hardware

Underneath, the Chetak C3502 uses the same platform as the other 35 series scooters. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and gets telescopic front suspension along with a monoshock at the rear.

For braking, the scooter gets a front disc brake along with a rear drum brake, paired with CBS (Combined Braking System). This setup should offer better stopping power than the more affordable 3503’s drum brakes. And of course, the metal body construction once again works in the scooter’s favour, giving it a reassuringly solid feel.

Motor, Performance & Range

The Bajaj Chetak C3502 is powered by a 3.5kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 153km on a single charge, which makes it practical enough for everyday commuting as well as occasional longer city rides or highway jaunts.

Its claimed top speed is 80kmph, which is noticeably higher than the 3503 variant. It should make the scooter feel more comfortable on faster city roads. The scooter can be charged from 0-80% in 3 hours 25 minutes, using an off-board charger, which should be practical enough for overnight home charging.

Performance-wise, the focus remains on smoothness rather than outright acceleration. Like most Chetaks, the 3502 prioritises range and ease of riding over sporty performance.

Our Take

The Bajaj Chetak C3502 feels like the most balanced scooter in the entire Chetak 35 lineup. While the 3503 focuses heavily on affordability and the 3501 goes all-out on features, the 3502 sits neatly in the middle by offering a strong mix of practicality, premium feel, and modern features without becoming too expensive.

You still get the solid metal body, large storage space, connected tech, decent performance, and impressive range, all of which are things that genuinely matter in day-to-day use.

More importantly, the scooter feels mature and well-rounded rather than flashy. And in a segment where many electric scooters try too hard to stand out, the Chetak’s understated approach actually works in its favour. For buyers looking for a premium electric scooter that balances features, usability, and everyday practicality, the Chetak C3502 could very well be the sweet spot in the lineup.
