Bajaj Chetak 3501 vs Hero Vida V2 Pro: Which One Wins?
One of them is more expensive, but it comes with its own set of conveniences

The Bajaj Chetak 3501 is the most premium variant in the Chetak lineup, and it goes up against the Vida V2 Pro, Hero’s flagship e-scooter. In this comparison, we have gone over the key differences in specifications so you can decide which one is better.

The extra power and bigger battery pack should make commuting a bit easier than the Chetak. What really makes this scooter a lot more practical is the option to remove the battery pack for instant swapping or carrying the battery pack to charge at home.

This is also a lot more convenient than having to install a plug point near your scooter parking spot just for charging, like you would have to do in the Chetak’s case.

The Bajaj Chetak’s suspension setup is a bit more retro compared to the conventional telescopic fork setup that is offered on the Vida V2 Pro. The linked suspension on the Chetak is designed to minimise dive while hard braking.

In terms of braking hardware, the Bajaj Chetak has a slight edge as it gets a larger 220mm disc at the front, which should offer better braking performance theoretically. The Vida V2 Pro’s wider rear tyre should also offer improved stability and better grip.

The Vida should be easier to manage for shorter riders as it is not only lighter, but also comes with a much more accessible seat. The Chetak’s metal bodywork may be stronger than fibre panels and also look more premium, but they also result in increased weight, which will also impact the e-scooter’s range.

The Vida V2 Pro has a slight advantage here, with the more premium-looking 7-inch TFT console. The Bajaj Chetak 3501’s 5-inch console doesn’t feel as classy as the one on the Vida V2 Pro.

But when it comes to practicality, the Bajaj Chetak leaves the Vida far behind. It gets a massive 35-litre underseat storage, which should be able to accommodate all sorts of groceries and other items.

The Vida misses out on the extra storage because of the removable battery setup. That said, the 26-litre storage is still adequate for most of the daily needs, and won’t feel like a major downgrade.

Price (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) |
|
Bajaj Chetak 3501 |
Rs 1,22,500 |
|
Hero Vida V2 Pro |
Rs 1,40,000 |
There’s a Rs 17,500 difference between the two models, and the Vida V2 manages to justify this premium to a great extent with its better performance and features. That said, the Bajaj Chetak has a few advantages, such as the larger boot space.
If you’re a mature rider who is looking for a relatively affordable, practical electric scooter which can meet your family needs then the Bajaj Chetak 3501 is a good option. The Vida V2 Pro, on the other hand, is a more premium option and more suited to younger riders who are looking for something with better performance, more features, and more importantly, the convenience of swappable battery packs.

Highways pe thoda limited feel hota hai but overall experience acha hai abhi tak ride kaafi smooth aur silent rahi hai. City me handling easy hai aur comfort bhi acha hai. Pickup decent hai, lekin highways par speed thodi limited lagti hai. Overall experience satisfying hai. Daily city commute ke liye best hai. Jo log fuel cost bachana chahte hain unke liye perfect choice. Long highway riders ke liye average hai. Haan, main recommend karunga un logon ko jo daily city use ke liye ek low maintenance aur cost-effective scooter chahte hain. - Chetak 3501 Hills review After 3 monthsIt is the only EV scooter which has direct drive motor, which ensures smooth power delivery prevents Power loss. Battery is placed in foot area by which the user gets huge boot space, App connectivity which provides Geo fencing, Remote immobilization, Real time monitoring, Over speeding alert and also Speed lock. Suspension could have been improved, since it only features single-sided leading link suspension in the front and an offset mono-shock at the rear It feels rough especially in hilly potholes and unexpected bumps, Center stand often messes with the edges of the roads in hills I recommend Chetak for its torque in hills especially when compared to IQube and Ather both feature Belt drive system which requires more maintenance in Hills. In a Slope Belt drive system is very laggy while a still start situation it is crucial. Chetak offers a smooth power delivery in hills.Read More9 18
