    Overview

The Hero Achiever was launched to revise the preferences of the buyers who plan to buy a 150cc motorcycle keeping in mind the value for money statement. It is the third best selling product in the 150cc segment of the company after Xtreme Sports and Hunk and has shown a fair volume of sales right since its inception.

The bike gets its power from a 149.1cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that churns out a net power of 13.4bhp at 8,000rpm with a maximum torque of 12.80Nm at 5,000rpm. The refined mill comes mated to a five-speed transmission and employs Hero's patented i3S (idle-stop-start-system) technology. Hero Achiever progresses on 2.75 x 18 - 42 P / 4 PR front and 3.00 x 18 - 52 P / 6 PR rear tyres mounted over stylish black alloy wheels. The stopping potential is delivered by a 240mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear. To offer a comfortable ride, the manufacturer has installed reliable telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers upfront and coil spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.

The bike comes with a sharp headlamp section with an aerodynamic visor crowned over it. The fuel tank is designed impressively and offers a good riding position to the rider and looks magnificent with the integration of attractive graphics over it. Worst bike to have.
If you buy this bike and be ready to pay high maintenance cost. I have replaced the bike clutch plate @ 5K. Average visit cost for services @ 2K. The service team is terrible. They change everything like my brake shoe pad was bad. They advise me to change the full brake system. My Honda Civic is costing me less than this bike.

    Hero Achiever Latest Updates

17th December 2018:  The Achiever is positioned as Hero’s entrant in the competitive 150cc motorcycle segment in India. Since its inception, the bike has received a couple of minor cosmetic changes along with a few features that makes it even more desirable. For instance, the Achiever gets Hero’s patented  i3S (idle-stop-start-system) technology, which is a first in its segment. The tech helps save fuel by automatically cutting off the engine if it finds the motor idling for more than five seconds. A simple pull on the clutch brings the engine back to life. Additionally, the Achiever 150 features AHO (automatic headlamp on), body coloured mirrors, a muscular tank and blacked out mechanicals that add a touch of sportiness.

Powering the bike is a 149. 1cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 13. 59PS and 12. 8Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. In terms of mechanicals, the bike employs a tubular diamond frame with conventional telescopic forks and an adjustable twin shock absorber setup at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a single 240mm disc brake up front and a 130mm drum unit a the rear.  Its 18-inch alloys come wrapped in 80- and 100-section tyres at the front and rear, respectively.

The Hero Achiever is offered in three different colours -  black, silver and red - and gets a starting price of Rs 66,800 (ex-showroom). It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda CB Unicorn and the Suzuki Gixxer.
