Hero has designed a whole new engine for Dash. This new mill is a forced air cooled, 4-stroke, Single Cylinder, OHC one with 111cc of displacement. It comes mated with the CVT transmission. The engine is configured to crank out the ultimate power output of 8.44bhp at an acceleration of 7500rpm that comes out along with the ultimate torque value of 9.4Nm at 5750rpm. The scoot with this power can turn from 0 to 60kmph in about 7 seconds and can touch a speed mark of about 85kmph. Mileage is a thing that is always one of the topmost priority for the manufacturers;  a fuel economy below 60kmpl can be a disadvantage for the makers while a mileage of 60kmpl or above is certainly what the need of hour is. The scooter gets a 6-liter large fuel tank storage.

Hero Dash is a smart built, it gets healthy pair of suspensions that turns the overall experience of riding from dull to exciting. The smart and durable spoke wheels with tubeless tyres are equipped with 130mm disc brake that work along with the Integrated Braking System. It assists in building rider's confidence over the ride. Straight handlebar and smart dimensions help the rider to keep the scooter in total control with easy maneuvering in city traffic. With a weight of just 110kg, the rider will be able to handle the scooter in almost every condition.
