Expert Review
The Harley-Davidson Street Rod is a sports bike based on the Harley Street 750. The Street Rod takes design inputs from cafe racers, dragsters and dirt trackers. New bits include a headlamp cowl, lighter front fender, flat drag-style handlebar with bar-end mirrors, redesigned tail section, LED tail lamps and LED turn indicators. The graphics are new and there are three paint colours on offer - Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim and Olive Gold. The fuel tank has been moved forward and that enables the rider to be seated forward. The footpegs have been moved back and that with the flatter handlebar gives a sportier stance different from the Street 750. The seat height has increased to 757mm - up by a massive 104mm. The seat is scooped now and features a perforated cover with French stitching on its sides.
The engine and chassis are borrowed from the Street 750 are reworked extensively. The 750cc V-twin from the Street 750 uses twin-port fuel injection now. The new cylinder heads have revised intake ports and cams that open higher. Compression ratio is higher. The redline is now set at 9000rpm instead of 8000. It has larger, drag-inspired airbox assembly. The upgraded motor makes 18 percent more power and 8 percent more torque. Output now is 68.4PS @ 8750rpm and 62Nm @ 4000rpm. The exhaust system gets a shorter tailpipe which has a wider outlet for a more pronounced exhaust note.
For handling, the chassis gets a sharper steering rake of 27 degrees compared to 32 degrees on the Street 750. The front gets 43mm upside-down forks and the rear gets twin gas-charged dampers that feature a piggyback reservoir. The new suspension components get an increased travel of 117mm. Ground clearance is up by 60mm to 205mm. Cornering clearance is also up by 10 degrees on either side. The rear swingarm is longer to accommodate the new 17-inch split cast aluminum wheels with a new Y-spoke design. The new wheels are lighter and should help improve cornering dynamics. The rear tire has changed and features a larger 160/60 R17 size. The wheels run stickier Michelin Scorcher 21 tires now. Braking should be better now courtesy a twin-disc setup upfront instead of a single one and ABS as standard fitment.
The Street Rod is expected to be locally manufactured similarly to the Street 750. The Street Rod is priced at Rs 5.86 lakh which is Rs 96,000 over the Harley Street 750.

A very nice classy motorcycle to ride on. After discontinuing this model, the demands are high among the enthusiasts and collectors market. Pretty fun to ride machine and has a very good torque and overall power. Its a dragster and best in its segment. It literally eats gt 650’s and other 650/750cc cruisers and it is a crowd puller in signals people do admire this bike.Read More

- Not Great In The Traffic.
Handles like a beast on the highway but wouldn't recommend riding in traffic jams due to extreme heating. Footpegs can be better placed.

It's the best Harley for a city and highway riding experience. Heats up like crazy during traffic but once you get an open road, freedom.

Amazing Bike, seating posture is bit different but, i got used to it and performance it gives, brings smile on your face always. The way it built will push you look at it even after years. If you want sexy bike, go for it. I'm totally satisfied, all system works perfect and brakes are awesome too. but yes fuel economy is bit an issue but for selective people.Read More
