Overview
June 22, 2017: Cleveland Cyclewerks are coming to India by mid-2017. Cleveland Cyclewerks (CCW) is a US based company that makes and sells bikes ranging from 250-450cc in 23 countries across the globe. The CCW Misfit is a sporty take on the commuter motorcycle with good spec suspension and brake components. The bike gets an edgy-looking fuel tank with knee recesses and minimal body panels. It comes with a removable pillion seat cowl. The bike has a twin pod instrument cluster with analogue speedometer and tachometer and a digital readout for the odometer. The bike has a low seat height of 775mm. It might get a 223cc air-cooled or a 249cc oil cooled and carburetted single. Power outputs range from 16Ps to 20Ps depending on the country it is sold in. The bike weighs just 144 kilos and has a 12-litre fuel tank.
Design

Engine, Mileage & Performance
The CCW Misfit might get a 223cc or a 249cc single cylinder engine. Power output for the 223cc air-cooled and carburetted engine is 14.27Ps @ 7000rpm and 16.5Nm of torque @ 5500rpm.
The 249cc oil cooled and carburetted motor makes 20.1Ps @ 8500rpm and 18.5Nm @ 6500rpm.
Handling & Ride Quality
For braking, the Misfit gets a single 315mm floating wave disc clamped to 4-piston radially mounted brake callipers. The rear gets a 220mm wave disc clamped to a 2-piston calliper. The brake lines are steel braided units for stronger brake bite. Suspension parts include 38mm upside down forks up front that are adjustable for rebound and compression damping. The rear gets dual rear shock absorbers that are adjustable for preload. The tyre sizes are 100/90 R18 at the front and 120/90 R18 at the rear.

20 August 2018: After its official debut in India Auto Expo 2018, Cleveland CycleWerks is set to launch four of its motorcycles, the Ace Café 250, Ace Scrambler 250, Ace Deluxe 250 and the Misfit, this October. Speaking of the Misfit, It's touted as a sporty commuter with low seat height, chiselled fuel tank, blacked out parts with bright paintwork, gold finish upside down forks and a removable seat cowl. The twin pod instrument console houses an analogue speedometer and tachometer. The Misfit 250 is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 229cc mill that does duty on the Ace. It produces 15. 4PS at 7,000rpm and 16Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The Misfit weighs 145Kg, 9kg more than the Ace’s 136Kg. Claimed top speed at 110Kmph is similar to the Ace. On the suspension front, it gets 38mm upside-down front forks and dual chrome shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is via a 315mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brake. The Misfit will come to India via the CKD route and expected price is in the range of INR 2 to 2. 5 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
