Exclusive: Mahindra Centuro Rockstar launched at RS. 45,221

Mahindra Two Wheelers (M2W) has launched a new variant of its top selling bike- Centuro christened as Rockstar at Rs. 45,221 (ex-showroom, Jaipur). It is a strip-down version of the bike and currently available in limited cities including Jaipur, Rajasthan. The bike comes with a new paint scheme with 'Rockstar' signature graphics, while misses the digital dash, remote key fob, anti-theft alarm and stylish engine cowls.

Other features and specifications of the bike including dimensions and performance remains similar to the existing O1 and N1 variants. The new Centuro Rockstar comes with the same bold look having a masculine fuel tank (12.7 L), sleek rear panels, aerodynamic headlamp and bikini fairing with LED position lamps, LED tail lamp and the Golden Ribs. The bike gets the stylish flip type key, however, misses the remote system in it.

Bolted on a double cradle, tubular frame, the new Mahindra Centuro Rockstar gets a 106.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, MCi-5 engine, which comes mated with a 4-speed transmission. The Micro Chip ignited 5 curve engine delivers an optimum performance with peak power and torque figures of 8.38bh @7,500rpm and 8.5Nm @5,500rpm respectively. The bike gets both self and kick start system as standard feature and it comes with a maintenance free battery.

Sporting a pair of hydraulic, telescopic forks at the front, Mahindra Centuro Rockstar has 5-step adjustable, hydraulic system with spring aid at the rear. Front and rear tyre sizes are 2.75"x18" and 3.00"x18" respectively and both the alloys are equipped with 130mm drum type braking systems. With this new affordable offering, M2W claims a more strong competition in the entry level commuter segment in the Indian two wheeler market.
