Bajaj Discover 150 S

The people of India have always seen Discover as a durable utility motorcycle that had arrived to fulfill the basic commuting needs of the common people. Going contrary to this, the manufacturer rolled out its sportier and powerful version christened as Discover 150 S few months back to offer another option to the youth. The bike comes with an aggressive and sporty front profile that is commanded by a sharp headlamp section along with clear lens turn indicators. The fuel tank is chiseled to perfection and looks meaner and bolder than before. It comes wrapped in attractive graphics and offers a good and comfortable riding posture for stress free and easy commuting. The bike comes assisted with a long and well-cushioned seating to provide an optimum comfort to both, rider as well as pillion. The rear end features a stylish black coloured grab rail that enhances the overall styling of the bike. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,305mm that promises superb handling even in the tightest city traffic. Furthermore, it has a minimum ground clearance of 165mm that gives the assurance of smooth and agile handling around the corners. The machine has been assisted with a 10 liter fuel tank that offers a good range without any stoppage. The instrument console of the bike gives easy access to all the information to the rider, which comprises of an analogue speedometer, digital twin tripmeters and fuel gauge along with the usual telltale lights.

Bajaj Discover 150 S gets its power from a 144.8cc, four stroke, OHC engine that churns out a peak power of 14.3bhp at 8,500rpm along with a maximum torque of 12.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The five-speed mill has a bore x stroke ratio of 56mm x 58.8mm and pushes the bike to a maximum speed of 110kmph besides returning a fair fuel economy. The company has employed an easy electric starter along with the kick start to give some extra convenience to the rider.

The bike runs on 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear grippy tyres that are mounted over robust black alloy wheels. The retardation is done via a powerful 200mm petal disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear. To avail a comfortable and stress free ride, the manufacturer has equipped the bike with telescopic forks upfront and Nitrox monoshock at the rear that works well in all conditions.
