Overview
The Ampere Magnus Neo is a family-styled electric scooter from the Coimbatore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer. Available in a single variant, it is priced at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Ampere Magnus Neo gets an electric motor that has a power output of 2.4kW. The scooter comes with a 2.3kWh LFP (Lithium Ferro-Phosphate) battery pack that has an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 118km and a claimed real-world range of 85km. The electric scooter can reach a claimed top speed of 65kmph. It takes 6 hours to fully charge the scooter with its 7.5A charger. 0-80% takes 5 hours. There are two riding modes along with a reverse mode.
The Ampere Magnus Neo comes with a 3.5-inch LCD instrument console, an all-LED lighting setup and a USB charging port. It also comes with 22 litres of underseat storage for utility. The ground clearance stands at 156mm. It uses a telescopic fork up front, twin rear shock absorbers, and drum brakes at both ends. The electric scooter rolls on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear steel wheels.
The Ampere Magnus Neo rivals the TVS Orbiter, Hero Vida VX2, and the Bajaj Chetak 2501.
