The test mule sits on the same frame as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. That said, it gets a different seat. It has an inverted fork, different from the ones seen on the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650, and the twin shocks are not gas-charged units like those on the Interceptor 650. That said, they’ll still be preload-adjustable.

The Scrambler 650 gets disc brakes at both ends, and dual-channel ABS will most likely come as standard. The wheels on the test mule are wire spoke units. 

While its launch is probably still quite some time away, Royal Enfield could price it from Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) onward. Once here, it'll go up against the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo 6 ½, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
