5th) Ducati Superleggera V4 - approximately Rs 98.5 lakh
An exotic, very red Ducati with an incredibly high price tag. Now we’re talking, eh? Ducatis are generally desirable but the Superleggera V4 is arguably the most irresistible Ducati. The brand made only 500 units of this gorgeous bike and that means it’s a collector’s item. So what made the bike so special? For starters, it had a dry weight of 159kg, which could be dropped even further down to 152.2kg with the race kit. For perspective, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 weighs a bit more than the Superleggera V4’s stock weight, and with the race kit, it’s some 10kg heavier than the Yamaha R15 V4, that’s IT! Power output, you may ask? 224PS stock and 234PS with the Akrapovic exhaust. Essentially, this one weighs a bit more than a Yamaha R15 V4 while making almost 13 times its power! We’re not even going to write down the power-to-weight ratio…
So now all of this for about USD 1,12,000 (around Rs 98.5 lakh) doesn’t sound that bad after all, eh? The thing is, all 500 units of the Superleggera V4 have been sold out for a while now. And if you want to get one for yourself from the second hand market, the above mentioned price could very well double itself, depending on who you get it from. For the time being, get its scale model if you must. For it’ll adorn your house shelves quite well too.

The Arc Vector was arguably one of the world’s most technologically advanced bikes. Prices began from around GBP 1,10,000, which is about Rs 1.31 crore. What you got for that is hub steering, a plethora of carbon fibre-everywhere and looks to die for. It has top-spec everything, and there isn’t much more that you can ask for on what is, at the end of the day, a motorcycle with two wheels. Sadly, even if your pockets are deep and ambitions sky-high, the Vector will remain a dream, as the brand went out of business in early 2024.

Brough Superior and Aston Martin joined hands some time ago and the result was the incredible AMB Pro 001. At USD 1,83,895 (approximately Rs 1.61 crore), it’s one of the most expensive bikes in the world and only 88 units of the bike have been produced (and sold out, so something like RM Sotheby’s could be your best bet). At its heart is a monster of a V-twin engine that makes a massive 225PS. In fact, the company claims its power-to-weight ratio is better than an F1 car. But specs aside, what the AMB Pro 001 is, is a technological marvel. It might just be the closest one could feel like Batman riding one of his exotic, technologically advanced bikes, if he were British.
1) MTT 420RR Turbine Superbike - approximately Rs 2.42 crore
The 420RR Turbine Superbike really shakes up your perceptions about what even a superbike can be. Marine Turbine Technologies, known as MTT, shockingly plonked a Rolls Royce Allison C250 engine into a bike, and the result was the 420RR which makes a maddening 420PS and 678Nm. That’s way more than most cars you see out on the road right now and that’s because it literally has… wait for it… an airplane engine. Top speed is electronically limited to 273mph (a meagre 439kmph) and if that limiter is removed, we’re sure the bike could very well cross the 500kmph mark, and possibly start flying without Red Bull!
And for all that performance, all you have to shell out is around USD 2,75,000. That’s approximately Rs 2.42 crore - the kind of money that’ll get you some luxury houses in some posh areas of India. And while that sounds nice and practical, there is simply no horsepower in a house. Boring!
