Overview
The global naked street bike segment has been completely revived after the launch of Brutale series, introduced by MV Agusta. The series comprises of four models, each wrapped in a unique street bike apparel with different engines. With a huge success in the super sports category, the company launched Brutale series to strengthen its roots in the naked streetfighter segment as well.
MV Agusta Brutale series is equipped with fine-tuned MV Agusta powerplants that range from 675 to 1090cc. The motors are managed by Integrated Ignition-injection system with multiple injectors. These pushes the beasts to a maximum speed of 225kmph and above.
MV Agusta Brutale range is crafted fantastically on ALS steel tubular trellis frame composed of aluminium alloy material. The machines move on high-end tyres equipped with stylish aluminium alloy wheels. The stopping duties are carried out by 320mm dual disc brakes with four-piston calliper at the front and 220mm single disc with twin-piston calliper at the rear. The braking system is blessed with Bosch 9-plus Anti-Lock Braking System with Rear Wheel Lift-Up Mitigation (RLM). The suspension system includes Ohlins upside-down telescopic forks at the front with progressive Sachs monoshock at the rear.
The range comprises of Brutale 675, Brutale R 1090 and Brutale 1090rr that comes with advanced slipper clutch, which prevents the rear wheel from locking under strict conditions. The range also comes loaded with a traction system to ensure safety and stability in high speeds and adverse road conditions. The fairing of these machines is made up of thermoplastic material to carry out weight reduction.
Coming to the rear, the bike features one of the best tail end sections so far. The bikes feature short sporty seat. Rear fender is absent in Dragster, which gives the bike a bare athletic rear. A raised pillion seat offers a higher stance and killer look. Brutale 675 comes with an electronic quick shifter that offers easy gear shifting without the use of clutch. The exhaust system of MV Agusta Brutale comes with one of the best designs in the world. It has multi silencer pipes that appear in a descending order, which looks super-stunning. The digital cockpit of these bikes comes with amber-backlit and showcases plenty of information to the rider.
Design
Born in the tribe of the some best looking bikes of the planet, MV Agusta Brutale is also one such machine that fascinates everyone that carries a love for such high-end motorcycles. The front profile of the bike witnesses a super stylish rounded headlamp that never fails to impress. The high rising fuel tank gives some broad shoulders to the bike and offers an upright yet comfortable riding position. The bike features a sporty, split step up seat that comes well-padded with the sole aim of providing a top notch comfort level. The bare athletic rear of the machine is super impressive that shows off the fat rear tyre quite magnificently. The triple exhaust pipes appear in an ascending order from the bottom and look majestic. The twin LED tail lamp section adds some more premiumness into the bike’s character. The tyre hugger carries the number plate and the twin clear indicators and looks stunning. MV Agusta Brutale has the following body dimensions: 2,085mm x 725mm (LxW) and has a wheelbase of 1,380mm. A minimum ground clearance of 160mm promises maximum stability while entering those sharp corners. The instrument cluster is easy to read and informative that comprises of digital speedometer, tachometer, tripmeter and fuel gauge.
Features
MV Agusta Brutale is blessed with traction control system with eight levels of intervention and electronic quick shifter that ensures a superior grip on the road. The Bosch 9-Plus Anti Lock braking system with Rear wheel lift up mitigation prevents the lifting up of rear wheel in case of aggressive braking and offers enhanced stability on the road. The twin rear view mirrors keeps the rider alert and aware of his surroundings and hence prevents any mishap. All these features make the bike a true and safe companion for the streets as well as long stretches.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
MV Agusta Brutale 1090 has been powered by a 1,078cc, four cylinder, 16 valve engine that comes mated to a six-speed cassette type constant mesh gearbox and uses wet multiplate clutch assembly. The motor churns out a net power of 158hp at 11,900rpm along with a maximum torque of 100Nm at 10,100rpm. Brutale 800 gets its power delivery from a 798cc, three cylinder, 12 valve mill that comes linked to a six-speed cassette type gearbox. It generates a peak power of 140hp at 13,100rpm with a net torque of 86Nm at 10,100rpm. Lastly, Brutale 675 is propelled by a 675cc, three cylinder, 12 valve, four-stroke motor that uses six-speed, constant mesh, cassette type gearbox as well. The refined powerplant develops a maximum power of 110hp at 12,500rpm with a 65Nm at 12,000rpm. All Brutale models have been assisted with Integrated ignition - injection system MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) that include Traction Control with eight levels of intervention and Electronic quick-shift MV EAS (Electronically Assisted Shift) for ensuring a superior and high level of precision to offer an uncompromised biking experience.
Handling & Ride Quality
MV Agusta Brutale runs gracefully over 120/70 - ZR 17 M/C (58W) front and 190/55 - ZR 17 M/C (75W) rear tyres that comes mounted over stylish alloy wheels. The suspension system comprises of Marzocchi upside down forks upfront and Progressive, Sachs single shock absorber with rebound and compression at the rear. The machine comes to a standstill effortlessly with the help of 320mm dual disc brakes with Brembo four-piston calliper at the front and 210mm single disc brake with Nissin four-piston calliper at the rear. The braking experience gets even more precise and responsive with the incorporation of Bosch 9-Plus ABS with Rear wheel lift up mitigation system to the package.

MV Agusta Brutale Latest Updates
October 19th, 2015: Italian manufacturer MV Agusta has an exclusive arrangement with the Kinetic Group, for the import and sale of Agusta superbikes in India and they’ve finally launched the MV Agusta Brutale 1090 October 19th, 2015. It’s powered by a 1078cc four-cylinder engine pumping out 144 HP and 112 Nm of torque. This crazy powerful motorcycle is said to be very rev friendly and can supposedly reach a top speed of 265kph. The Brutale 1090 gets an adjustable 8-level traction control and ABS, a top of the line modular frame with tubular steel trellis section and aluminium plates offering high torsional stiffness supported by a single-sided swingarm with an adjustable shock absorber, it gets 50 mm Up Side Down forks in the front and the two 310 mm diameter floating front discs bring this motorcycle to a stop instantly. It is being sold at an introductory price of Rs 17. 99 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune), with a delivery period of 2-3 weeks.
