Evolet Polo Pony electric scooter has been launched in India. Evolet is an Indian startup which makes EVs, and the company offers the scooter in two variants: Polo Pony EZ, with 48 V/24Ah VRLA battery; and Polo Pony Classic, with 48V/24 Ah Lithium-ion battery. The former costs Rs 39499 whereas the latter is priced at Rs 49,499, ex-showroom India. Powering the scooter is a 250-watt BLDC motor which offers a top speed of 25 kmph. The scooter does not require a licence to ride and does not receive FAME II benefits either.
