Hero MotoCorp is bringing back the product development for all its models back to India after its split with Erik Buell Racing (EBR) who was handling its production in the US. After the end of the collaboration of Hero MotoCorp and Honda, Hero MotoCorp joined hands with EBR for strengthening its R&D department. In April 2015, EBR announced bankruptcy resulting in a delay of several company plans. There was a big question mark on what the company will do for their jointly-developed products like its 250cc motorcycle, the HX250R, which has been already seen running on the Indian roads.

But we are continuing to work on those products. In fact, we are doing all the work over here in India. The process is under finalisation as we speak. I believe it is just a matter of couple of weeks now that we bring in here and restart work on those products.” He added, “The company's upcoming innovation facility in Jaipur would commence operations from early next year.”
