Recently, Kawasaki has teased the Ninja ZX-4RR on its social media handles, revealing that the bike will soon be launched in India, but as a limited edition model. Earlier, the Japanese brand launched its smallest inline-four, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R and it became India’s most expensive 400cc bike.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Price:

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is currently available in a single variant and is priced at Rs 8,49,000 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is 1,33,000 lakh more expensive than even the Kawasaki Ninja 650 which costs Rs 7,16,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Engine:

The Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a BS6.2 compliant 399cc inline-four cylinder engine that produces a peak output of 75PS at 14,500rpm and 37.6Nm at 13,000rpm, making it the most powerful 400cc bike in the market. Moreover, it produces a whopping 77PS with RAM air intake. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, whereas the upcoming Ninja ZX-4RR even gets a bi-directional quickshifter.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Features:

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is equipped with all-LED lights, it features a 4.3-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity via the Rideology app, and it also has two display modes: Normal and Circuit. The 400cc bike has four modes - Sport, Road, Rain or Rider (customisable). It has a 15-litre fuel tank capacity.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Suspension, Brakes & Other Details:

The Ninja ZX-4R is suspended on a 37mm Separate Function USD fork with 120mm travel,  and a monoshock with 112mm wheel travel. Whereas the upcoming Ninja ZX-4RR features a preload-adjustable 37mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork and a Showa BFRC Lite monoshock. Braking is handled by 290mm dual discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The Ninja ZX-4R comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with 120-section front and 160-section rear W-rated tyres. With an 800mm seat height and 189kg kerb weight, it gets 135mm of ground clearance.

The Ninja ZX-4R does not have any direct rivals. But in a similar price range, you can also consider Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Triumph Trident 660.
