29th October 2018: The sporty quarter-litre Hyosung GT 250R has been re-introduced in India by Kinetic-owned Motoroyale at a price of Rs 3.38 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). The bike is powered by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that puts out 28PS of power and 22.07Nm of torque. Furthermore, the bike gets upside-down forks and hydraulic disc brakes as some interesting elements. It’s available in three attractive colours - white, red and black. The Hyosung GT 250R locks horns with the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha R3, KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310

The renowned Korean motorcycle manufacturer - Hyosung offers its three products in it GT line-up in India that comprises of Hyosung GT650R, 650N and 250R. Out of these, as the name suggests, Hyosung GT250R is the smallest motorcycle in terms of power that comes with a well-defined purpose of serving its buyers with
some real motorcycling experience. The bike made its appearance few years back in the Indian market and has become quite popular due to its sporty body design and appeal.
Hyosung GT250R is powered by a 249cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 28bhp at 10,000rpm along with a net torque of 22.07Nm at 8,000rpm. The mill comes paired with a five-speed transmission and uses wet multiplate clutch setup. The bike runs on 110/70 -17 54h front and 150/70 -17 69h rear tyres that offer a superior grip on any surface. The suspension tasks are handled impressively by inverted telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Hyosung GT250R comes to a standstill with the help of dual 300mm hydraulic disc brakes upfront and a single 230mm hydraulic disc brake fitted at the rear.
The engineers at the company’s facility have taken a lot of quality time for crafting the bike in their best possible way. The fruitfulness of their efforts is clearly visible in the bike’s body dynamics and indispensable appearance. The front fascia receives a sporty headlamp unit integrated with a projector light. The full fairing of the bike dresses it up well in a sporty costume. The fuel tank is designed to meet perfection and give a comfortable riding posture to the rider. The sporty split seat gives comfort even on the longest of journeys, that gives an extra inch of benefit to the rider. The rear end has a stylish full LED tail lamp that look really magnificent along with the big and bold exhaust setup.

A wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,435mm and 130mm respectively offers a good handling and stability to the bike. The bike is fitted with a 17 liter fuel tank and weighs 188kgs. The instrument cluster comes neat and easy to ride consisting of a digital speedometer, twin tripmeters, fuel gauge and an analogue tachometer.
Design
Hyosung GT250R comes with a super sporty body appearance that makes it even more competitive in the worldwide quarter liter motorcycle segment. The front fascia of the machine has a neatly designed headlamp section integrated with a powerful projector light that gives a good illumination in dark and low light conditions. The full fairing of the bike blesses it with a true sportbike character to stand amidst the leading players of the market. the highly raised and sharp fuel tank design gives a good riding position to the rider. The bike sports a robust split, step-up seat that comes thickly cushioned offering an optimum comfort level to the rider and pillion. Coming at the rear, it comes with a black coloured split grab rail that does enhances the overall appeal. An aggressively rising, chrome plated exhaust unit look stunning and gives some masculine genes to the bike. The tail lamp section comes with red LEDs that further comes integrated with clear lens turning blinkers. The rear fender ends up just in height of the number plate and shows-off the fat rear tyre quite impressively.

It churns out a net power of 28bhp at 10,000rpm with a peak torque of 22.07Nm at 8,000rpm. The fuel injected mill takes the bike from 0 to 60kmph in 3.96 seconds and makes it reach a top speed mark of 140kmph.
Handling & Ride Quality
The bike has been assisted with 110/70 -17 54h front and 150/70 -17 69h rear grippy tubeless tyres that offer a superior on-road adhesion and hence delivers optimum stability on any kind of surface. Hyosung GT 250R avails a smooth and comfortable ride with the help of inverted telescopic forks at the front and progressive linkage hydraulic mono shock suspension at the rear. The braking is done via dual 300m hydraulic disc brakes at the front and 230mm hydraulic single disc brake at the rear.

The machine has been equipped with a powerful projector headlight at the front that delivers a steady and bright beam of light even under low rpm conditions, thereby illuminating the road well at nights.
