Moto Guzzi California 1400

Moto Guzzi offers its retro cruiser bikes in India in two variants: Custom and Touring. Christened as Moto Guzzi California 1400, the bikes come with crowd pulling body dynamics and a handsome amount of power. The company has blessed them with a lot of technical advancements and the Indian buyers can now enjoy the benefits of Italian technology at a worthy price.

Both bikes are powered by 1380cc, 90° V-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The mill produces a peak power of 95bhp at 6500rpm with a maximum torque of 120Nm at 120Nm at 2750rpm. The multipoint sequential fuel injection system with ride by wire 52mm throttle body delivers superior performance.

Moto Guzzi California 1400 is held together by a steel tubular, closed double cradle frame with elastic-kinematic engine mounting system. The bike runs on 130/70-R18” front and 200/60-R16” rear tyres with stylish aluminium black alloys. The suspension system includes 46mm hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and double shock absorber with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping at the rear. The bikes are fitted with 320mm dual discs with Brembo four piston callipers at the front and 282mm single disc with Brembo twin piston calliper at the rear. The braking system is paired with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

The body dynamics of the bike are impressive, giving it a muscular feel. The front profile comes with a unique plus shaped headlamp stacked with white LED lights. However, the touring version comes additionally with two rounded shaped guiding lights on each side of the headlamp. Coming to the rear, the bike features twin tail lamps with stylish clear lens turning LED’s stacked in a vertical fashion that looks super stunning.

The bikes also feature traction control and cruise control for enhanced safety and stability. A stainless steel two in two type exhaust system is fitted that blends perfectly with the overall flow of the machine. The bike sports a fuel tank of 20.5 liter capacity. The tourer version of California 1400 comes with some extra features like dual side box for storage and a clear front visor, that blesses it with a rugged cruiser appeal. The instrument cluster is clear and informative that includes a lot of digital readings unlike the rest of cruiser machines. It comes with a digital speedometer, analogue tachometer, twin tripmeters, low fuel indicator, low oil indicator, low battery indicator and clock.
