TVS Apache RTR 180 Overview

Taking its 160cc premium best-seller to the next level, TVS Motor Company has launched the Apache RTR 180. With its unveiling, TVS marks its footprints in the sporty 180cc segment. TVS Apache RTR 180 caters perfectly to those who carry a racing instinct apart from a wish to make daily commuting an exciting affair. RTR 180 guarantees a sure adrenaline rush to its admirers with its sharp-aggressive looks and superior ride quality.

TVS Apache RTR 180 powerplant features a 177.4cc, air-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The thundering motor generates a maximum power of 17.03bhp at 8500rpm with a peak torque of 15.5Nm at 6500rpm, which is evident from its energetic high-decibel exhaust note. The bike’s skeleton is a tough Double Cradle Synchro-stiff chassis. The suspension system include 105mm telescopic front forks and spring aided gas-filled rear shocks (MIG).

The Apache moves on a pair of 90/90x17” and 110/80x17” tubeless tyres fitted at the front and rear respectively. The braking act is performed by a powerful 270mm front rotor petal disc and a 200mm rear petal disc. The bike sports an IDI-Dual mode Ignition System. It enables the bike to perform a self-check after the ignition is turned ON and any flaw is informed to the rider by a blinking indicator at the dashboard. The fuel tank capacity remains to a decent 16 liter.

Other features of the machine include sporty rear panels with tri-coloured race insignia, new & improved cockpit. The new and improved cockpit include: digital speedometer with analogue tachometer, odometer, twin tripmeters, 0-60 lap timer, top speed recorder and digital clock. The sporty LED’s at the rear gives the machine a more appealing look. The sharp fuel tank design with tank-cowls further add up to its aggression. With TVS’s entry into the 180cc class, TVS Apache RTR 180 is seen as a tough competition for other leading 180-200cc players. The bike truly deserves to become India’s new 180cc show-stopper at a highly competitive price.
