Recently the spy shots of a bike under testing have surfaced which will soon be introduced by the Indian two-wheeler giant Bajaj. Seeing the spy shots, it is assumed that the automaker is planning to launch its new commuter in a different segment altogether. This new machine looks like a Hybrid version of a cruiser and a street bike. The bike has Pulsar’s bikini fairing and a twin-pod instrument console. Low-slung chassis of the bike seems like the finalised spare part to get into production while other portions are still to be disclosed.

The new bike is expected to fill the space of Discover series with extra features and more comfort levels. According to the news on different automotive portals, the bike appears to be powered by a 150cc engine. The way Bajaj is offering different platforms like Discover, Pulsar and Avenger, this new commuter is expected to provide a new platform under various displacement models.

The spied machine is seen equipped with a steeply raked telescopic front and twin gas charged coil spring shock absorbers at the rear. The front wheel of the bike measures 17-inch along with a disc brake and the rear wheel is measured at 16-inch with drum brakes. The testing design seems far away from the actual production look, which may be ready by the end of 2016 or early 2017.

Recently, Bajaj was in the news for its re-launching of the NS 200 with FI engine. The FI variant of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is currently under testing as it awaits its relaunch in early 2016. Bajaj had stopped the production of this bike for a while due to heavy demand of its other models, the Pulsar RS 200 and Pulsar AS (200 & 150). Bajaj will also work on expanding the manufacturing operations to bring a re-modelled engine of the 200 NS, as the bike is in high demand in both Indian and International markets.
