Offered at an affordable price, it is christened as Zest and looks very attractive with intelligent built. The motor of the machine is a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, CVTi engine. It is claimed to return a fuel economy of 62kmpl, while its power outputs are likeable. It is made available in Terrific Turquoise, Powerful Pink, Daring Black, Dynamic White and Fiery Red.

  • Overview

TVS Scooty range has always been the first choice of women in India. The range has been designed in such a way that female riders love to put their hands-on them. Crafted with the motive to enhance the number of female riders in the country, Scooty is serving Indians since 1994. Currently, there are three models in the line-up viz. Streak, Pep Plus and Zest.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus is available in the country since 2005 and it was introduced with the most color options ever. Today, the machine is available in three attractive colors that are Frosted Black, Gorgeous Grey and Vivacious Purple. It houses an 87cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, forced air-cooled engine that churns out 4.9bhp of power and 5.8Nm of torque. It claims a best-in-class mileage of 65kmpl and brings along a fuel tank capacity of 5 liter.

TVS Scooty Streak then came in 2009 that brought a better appearance to put eyes on but the heart of the machine remains the same. New design sports dual tone shades like Purple with Black, Pink with Black, Red with Black, Orange with Black and Green with Black. It also features a mobile charging facility present in its glove box.

TVS Scooty Zest is the latest launch that brought loads of advancements to the range. It is the most appealing scooty ever existed till date with its sharp and bold curves, twilight lamps, back-lit speedometer, Leaf shaped body colored rear view mirrors, LED tail lights, textured floor boards, double stitched seats and stainless steel muffler guard. Double Rated Hydraulic Monoshock has been introduced for the first time to a scooty range.

The Zest is also the first 110cc scooty ever introduced by the company which is loaded by a performance packed 109.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, CVTi engine. The motor is tuned to generate 7.9bhp of power and 8.7Nm of torque. Besides a likeable power outputs, the machine still claims a best-in-class mileage of 62kmpl.

  • Design

TVS Scooty models have slim, sleek and lightweight design that helps the female riders to master them with ease. Eazy centre stand and easy kick start option has been given to the range that eases parking for female riders and starts the engine with lesser efforts if battery is dead.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus is like a cute little bird that is highly appreciated by the girls. It is one of the most lightweight scooters that weigh about 95kg only. It looks petite and sports some fancy elements like oval turn indicators on the apron, which also works as the front fender. The headlight is fixed at the handlebars along with the rear view mirrors. An analog meter displaying speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge is bestowed to the scooter. There is a good under seat storage for the rider’s convenience. The tail lamp is simple and sober and compliments the pleasant design of the scooter.

TVS Scooty Streak is the smarter looking sibling of Pep Plus as its design is much richer and electrifying. The manufacturer has worked hard on the design on it which is evident with the sharp and edgy body panels and lighting sections. The headlight, side indicators and the shape of the rear view mirrors have been sharpened that makes it look modern. The tail light of the machine has better design with LED lamps. The seat is comfortable with a strong grab rail to hold on. The underseat storage space is friendly and the manufacturer has bestowed the scooter with an external fuel lid for quick refueling.

TVS Scooty Zest has the most appealing appearance among its siblings. Designed to the match the current trend, the scooter has been crafted with incredible and innovative lines and curves. The front apron looks magnetic with twilight lamps. The smart headlamp and Leaf shaped body colored rear view mirrors goes well with the creative design. It also sports the first back-lit speedometer with eco indicator. LED tail light with stylish side indicators illuminates the rear profile of the scooter. The scooter holds an under seat storage space of 19 liter. There are under seat helmet hook and bag hook, front bag hook and glove box for the rider to carry its articles along with ease.

Besides developing a supreme power of 4.9bhp at 6,500rpm and peak torque of 5.8Nm at 4,000rpm, the motor is claimed to deliver a best-in-class mileage of 65kmpl. The Pep Plus comes with a fuel tank capacity of 5 liters while that of the Streak is 4.7 liter only.

The motor has been tuned to produce an utmost power of 7.9bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.7Nm at 5,500rpm. The manufacturer claims that it has the best-in-class mileage of 62kmpl along with class leading power to weight ratio and quickest pick-up of 0-60kmph in 11.1 seconds.

TVS Scooty range is made run on 90/90-10-inch tubeless tyres equipped at both the ends. The tyres are fitted with 110mm brakes at all the ends, however, the rear of the Zest holds a 130mm drum brake. The braking system works fine but can be improved with the incorporation of disc brake at the front. The suspensions system is pretty sound as it consists of telescopic front forks and rear double rated hydraulic mono shock.
