Overview

Lohia Auto Industries (LAI) currently sells three electric scooters in the country viz. Fame, Genius and Omastar. Lohia Genius is a mid-size electric scooter that comes with impressive body dynamics and a reliable 250 watt electric motor. Keeping in mind the day to day hike in fuel prices, the company launched it to minimise daily running costs.

The Genius gets its power from a maintenance free, VRLA gel type, 12V battery that couples-up with a BLDC type motor churning out a peak power of 250 watts. Besides taking 6-8 hours of charging time, the 20Ah battery gives a good range of 70km. With this setup, the company claims a maximum speed of 25kmph. Lohia Genius runs on 16x3.0” wheels with telescopic forks at the front. Further, the scooter has 80mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes to handle the braking duties effectively.

Coming to the appearance, the front profile is neatly crafted having a trapezoidal headlamp section. The triangular clear lens indicators are embedded at the apron that looks impressive. A glove box is provided at the front along with a rear carrier for convenience. The rear end features a stylish tail lamp with clear lens turn indicators. The overall dimensions of Lohia Genius  are 1,825mm x 675mm x 1,020mm (LxWxH).

Design

Lohia Genius has a very basic and entry level inspired body design. The front gets a n edgy and sharp headlight that ensures maximum visibility in dark and low light conditions. The triangular shaped clear lens turn indicators are impressively fitted into the apron and looks premium. The vehicle has been assisted with a wide and comfortable seat that comes with the sole motto to deliver a top notch comfort to the rider and pillion , but however, it fails significantly on longer rides. The twin rear view mirrors keeps the rider aware of traffic conditions and activities going on behind his back. Furthermore, Lohia Genius receives a fascinating paint scheme that enhances its overall visuals along with the attractive graphics.     Moving towards the rear, there is a considerable uprising flow in the body design that perfectly suits the overall detailing.  The rear end features a majestically designed sharp tail lamp integrated with clear lens turn indicators. The instrument console of the vehicle sports a speedometer, odometer, remaining battery along with the usual telltale lights.  Lohia Genius comes with the body dimensions of  825mm x 675mm x 1,020mm (LxWxH) that give it a worthy and good on-road presence.
