Its pre-bookings are open and here’s when it’ll come to India

Endless spy shots, leaks and teasers later, Royal Enfield has finally showcased the Himalayan 452 at EICMA 2023. The most important bit, its brand new 452cc liquid-cooled engine makes 40PS and 8,000rpm and a solid 40Nm at 5,500rpm. Most importantly, 33Nm of that is available from 2,500rpm.

Underpinnings include an inverted fork along with a monoshock. There’s a 21-/17-inch wheel combo shod with Ceat Gripp tyres developed specifically for the new Himalayan. In terms of features, it gets an all-new round 4-inch TFT, another first for a Royal Enfield bike with music and phone controls along with integrated Google Maps navigation. In typical Royal Enfield fashion, there will be more than 30 accessories to choose from and the bike can be configured in a way to create two themes - Adventure and Rally. Here’s a closer look at the accessories available for it. For those who are curious, here’s how the bike differs from the current Himalayan.

Pre-booking for the bike has begun globally. The pre-booking amount is Rs 10,000 and is fully refundable. Prospective owners can choose from five colour options: Hanle Black, Kamet White, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue and Kaza Brown. The bike, meanwhile, will be available from November 24. So we expect Royal Enfield to launch the bike at Rider Mania, which will be taking place from November 24 to 26. Royal Enfield could price it at around Rs 2.80 lakh, ex-showroom and its rivals then, will include the spoke wheel variant of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
