Piaggio, the Italian auto major, is in final stages to launch Piaggio Vespa LX 125. The leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturing company is to enter in India after a decade. Piaggio India is in final stages of establishing up its scooter manufacturing unit at Baramati in Maharashtra. The manufacturing facility has an initial capacity of 1.5 lakh units per annum and can be increased if required.

Piaggio Vespa LX 125 is affixed with 125 cc, 4-stroke engine that develops 10.26 BHP of top output power at 8250 RPM and churns out 9.6 Nm of max torque at 7250 RPM. It is the first lifestyle scooter in India to feature a fuel injected system with three valve head. This interesting feature makes it more powerful and technologically advanced in compare to other scooters in India. The lifestyle scooter would deliver an impressive fuel economy of about 50 km/L.

The exteriors of the lifestyle scooter are very appealing and have striking similarity with Bajaj Scooter. Company makes nominal changes to front fascia of scooter, in order to offer the same retro and attractive looks. Piaggio Vespa LX 125 has a kerb weight of 114 kg and fuel tank capacity of 8.5 L. The alloy wheels and tubeless tyres provide a robust and sporty look to it.

The engine of the scooter churns out 10.26 BHP of power at 8250 RPM and 9.6 Nm of high torque at 7250 RPM.
