Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) had revealed its plan of launching 15 new two-wheelers this year. Up til now, Honda has already launched 11 of those 15 models including the much awaited Honda CBR650F which was launched at the Honda Revfest on August 4, 2015. The bike comes equipped with a 649cc, liquid cooled, four-stroke, 16-valve, inline-four motor that uses 6-speed constant mesh transmission. The engine generates a net power of 85.8 bhp at 11,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 63 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Other than CBR650F, Hornet 160R, CBR150R facelift and CBR250R were also the highlights of the event. Honda also teased the audience with a ‘mystery bike’ hinting towards its launch soon. The bike looked to be a commuter and may be a replacement for Honda Stunner. The remaining 4 models left to be launched this year are expected to arrive in the coming 4 months. The leading seller in the 110cc two-wheeler segment is doing this to provide more options to the users to choose from and consolidate its position in the country.

We expect 4 to 5 percent year-on-year growth this festive season as we are running full capacity. We are getting more demand from Latin America and our exports are also seeing an increase in Sri Lanka. In future, we are looking to enter new markets as well.”
