Shortlisted Alpha after research
My friends own Honda Activa and Suzuki Access and I wanted to go for something different and finally purchased Yamaha Alpha. Honda’s Activa, Dio and Aviator carry same engine under different bodies making them perform similar to each other. Honda gearless scooters are reliable, strong and have proven their mettle. They also have benefits like large service network, high resale value, good mileage (60 kmpl of company claimed mileage) and decent pick-up. What makes the Honda scooters suffer defeat in front of others is their outdated designing and same engines they are using from many years. The two options that I was really looking forward to were TVS Jupiter and Yamaha Alpha. Finally I selected Alpha as it was more sophisticated. Its big seat, 21 litres of storage space which is enough to carry a full-sized helmet, front telescopic suspension, great build quality and riding performance and a mileage of 62 kmpl claimed by the company.Read More
