Hello friends I am the Happy owner of TVS Apache. After doing lots of research on the bikes in this engine segment. I have shortlisted Bajaj Pulsar, Honda Unicorn and TVS Apache. Also evaluated the FZ16. I was searching a machine with good power and combination. I have waited long for FZ but waiting period is too long and also the mileage claimed by the company was too low in compare with TVS Apache RTR so I decided to take the plunge with RTR.
I have bought this bike in 2009 and till it gives good performance. I have completed 55000 kms in the speedometer.
Engine used in this bike is very good that generates mileage of 55 kmpl. Great power and pick up. People often amazed when I tell them about TVS apache mileage. As I am always ride in between 50-60 kmph. The maintenance cost is also very reasonable.
Handling and Braking capability is also nice. Bike always under your control if you ride at high speed. The only bad experience I have faced is from service personals. when I bought the bike though, they had taken out the guard in the front and also one of the horns. The guard I noticed and the showroom guys fixed it for me after a week or so but the horn, I noticed it only after a couple of services.
