Genius Expert Review
Lohia Auto Industries (LAI) currently sells three electric scooters in the country viz. Fame, Genius and Omastar. Lohia Genius is a mid-size electric scooter that comes with impressive body dynamics and a reliable 250 watt electric motor. Keeping in mind the day to day hike in fuel prices, the company launched it to minimise daily running costs.
The Genius gets its power from a maintenance free, VRLA gel type, 12V battery that couples-up with a BLDC type motor churning out a peak power of 250 watts. Besides taking 6-8 hours of charging time, the 20Ah battery gives a good range of 70km. With this setup, the company claims a maximum speed of 25kmph. Lohia Genius runs on 16x3.0” wheels with telescopic forks at the front. Further, the scooter has 80mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes to handle the braking duties effectively.
Coming to the appearance, the front profile is neatly crafted having a trapezoidal headlamp section. The triangular clear lens indicators are embedded at the apron that looks impressive. A glove box is provided at the front along with a rear carrier for convenience. The rear end features a stylish tail lamp with clear lens turn indicators. The overall dimensions of Lohia Genius are 1,825mm x 675mm x 1,020mm (LxWxH).
