The launch marks the return of the Eliminator nameplate in India after two decades

Kawasaki has been pretty busy since the beginning of this year. First, it launched the Ninja ZX-6R and now they have brought back the Eliminator nameplate to India, after two decades. The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator is priced at Rs 5,62,000 (ex-showroom) and deliveries will start from mid-January 2024 onwards.

The Eliminator gets a sleek cruiser design and is powered by a 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 45PS at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. It gets a trellis frame and suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic fork with 120mm wheel travel and twin shock absorbers with 90mm wheel travel. Stopping the 450cc cruiser bike is a 310mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS.

The Eliminator rolls on a 130-section front tyre with 18-inch wheel and a 150-section rear tyre with 16-inch wheel. The kerb weight stands at 176kg, which is pretty impressive for a twin-cylinder cruiser. Features-wise, the cruiser comes equipped with a round LCD instrument console and gives out readings such as speedometer, digital bar-style tachometer, gear position indicator, clock, odometer, dual trip meters, fuel gauge, remaining fuel range, current and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature, maintenance reminder, smartphone mail and call notices. It also comes with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app. Kawasaki is also offering a few accessories for the Eliminator like a rear carrier, tank pad, radiator screen and frame sliders.

The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator is available with a single colour option: Metallic Flat Spark Black. The price is a bit steep considering it’s Rs 38,000 dearer than the Kawasaki Ninja 400. Moreover, you can get the more powerful, torquier and much more affordable Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 for Rs 3,63,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). , it has only one direct rival in the sub-500cc cruiser segment in the form of the Keeway V302C.
