TVS Apache RTR 180 Matte Blue Edition

TVS has officially announced the new Matte Blue Edition for its popular range of motorcycles- Apache RTR. Along with its existing premium features like powerful engine, racing chassis, predator styling, dual-channel ABS and more, this special edition also gets an attractive Matte Blue paint scheme. The price of the TVS Apache RTR Matte Blue Edition is yet to be revealed, however, we believe that it could be priced around Rs. 2,000 extra over the prices of standard models.

TVS Apache RTR 180 Matte Blue Edition

Currently, TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS is available in just two colour options- Black and White, RTR 180 in Grey as well and the RTR 160 offers two more options- Red and Yellow. So, the new Matte Blue option is expected to add more sales number to its market performance in the coming festive season. The company has already tested this successful paint scheme with their popular family scooter- Jupiter and people are just loving it. It is a popular premium commuter motorcycle in India, which comes with muscled fuel tank, tail cowl, engine cowl and a beast-inspired headlight.

TVS Apache RTR 180 Matte Blue Edition

Powering the Apache RTR 180 is a 177.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OHC motor with RTR (Racing Throttle Response) technology. With a carburetted type fuel system, it makes power up to 17.03bhp at 8,500rpm and delivers torque up to 15.2Nm at 6,500 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox via a wet multi-plate clutch assembly and the bike claims a top speed of around 124kmph.

Bolted on a Double Cradle SynchroSTIFF frame, the Apache RTR comes with telescopic forks at the front and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shox (MIG) at the rear. The 17” alloy wheels of the bike come covered with 90/90 section front and 110/80 section rear tubeless tyres. It has a dual Roto-Petal disc brake system having a 270mm and a 200mm disc at the front and the rear respectively, and it is the cheapest motorcycle available in India with a dual channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).
