Bajaj Auto is reported to hike its bike prices up to Rs. 1000. These increased prices will come into effect from January 1st, 2011. According to company sources,  Bajaj Auto, which is number two bike maker and seller in India, has confirmed the price hike. So, be ready to pay more price for your lovely Bajaj Pulsar, Bajaj Platina, Bajaj Avenger and Bajaj Discover.

After the announcement from Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto is the second two wheeler company which has decided to hike its bike prices. The main reason of the price hike is rising raw material cost.

Mr. S. Sridhar, President, Two wheeler, Bajaj Auto, quoted as saying that after increase in the cost of raw material inputs, the company is going to hike all segment bike prices and it will be up to 1000 for entry-level to high-end models. And it is expected that increased prices will not effect the sale of the Bajaj bikes. Bajaj Auto always provides reliable and value for money products, he further added.

On the other hand, it is expected that Bajaj Auto to launch one more Bajaj Pulsar 300cc by the first quarter of 2011.
