Hero Honda, the largest bike maker of India, introduced Hero Honda Glamour and this has to compete with the likes of Yamaha Gladiator, TVS Victor, Bajaj Platina and Honda Shine. The bike has seen many up gradation since its launch in India. At present, Hero Honda Glamour comes equipped with disc brake, alloy wheels, self start and fuel injection system. It has two variants standard Hero Honda Glamour and higher-end version Hero Honda Glamour Fi.

The standard Hero Honda Glamour has 124.7cc of engine while the Fi variant has 124.8cc of mill. The powertrain specifications read 4 stroke, air cooled, single cylinder, OHC. However, the engine of Hero Honda Glamour produces same power, 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm, and torque values, 10.35 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The machine incorporates 4 speed constant mesh type gearbox and multiplate wet clutch. The fuel system is fuel injection for the higher-end variant. That is named as PGM-Fi by the company.

Hero Honda Glamour, top-end variant, comes equipped with disc brakes at front and drum brakes at rear side. It is also blessed with latest suspension system. The rear suspension of the bike can be adjusted for five times for different kind of terrains. The Hero Honda Glamour is available in kick and self start options.

The Hero Honda Glamour has eye-catching and pleasing front view which is comprised of trapezoidal multi-reflector halogen headlamp and larger wind-screen. The fuel tank is bolder and having most of the graphical job at it. The company has coloured some of the frame's bars in red that add to the sporty look of the Hero Honda Glamour. The bike comes in body match rear view mirrors red colour rear suspension's spring.

In addition to this, Hero Honda Glamour Fi has been loaded with malfunction pointer lamp and bank angle sensor. The bank angle senor sends malfunction single to the pointer if finds some break down or tips-over. It also cuts off the ignition and fuel supply at the same time. Moreover, the bike is equipped with Real Time Mileage Indicator that shows average mileage of 10 seconds with the help of speed sensor and data provided by the ECU.

The Hero Honda Glamour scores over the Hero Honda Super Splendor with its super-cool look and features. Bigger and larger panels are used to give the Hero Honda Glamour a big bike image. As its name suggests, it has been decorated with funky graphics and design.

Hero Honda Glamour Fi has got appealing front view that is comprised of tapraozied headlamp cluster and large black tinted wind screen. The bike has hexagon shape clear front and rear blinkers. The front fender keeps body colour and front suspension attached to it. The Hero Honda Glamour Fi offers body colour rear view mirrors and grab rail. The dashboard of the bike has tri-pod which is comprised of fuel gauge, speedometer and common indicator. The Hero Honda Glamour Fi has got LCD fuel gauge.

Hero Honda Glamour Fi has bold petrol tank, it also possesses most of the graphical job along with bike model logo sticker. Just below the tank, tool box is located wrapped in body match and graphics whereas on the left side the same box houses fuel tank nob.

Hero Honda Glamour Engine And Performance

The top-end Hero Honda Glamour is loaded with a 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, OHC engine with a displacement of 124.8cc. This powertrain of the Hero Honda Glamour is powerful enough to develop a top power of 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.35 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It houses self and kick start facility along with 4 speed gearbox. The bike features PGM-Fi technology that ensures higher engine power, performance and greater fuel efficiency.

This new technology, Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI), looks after the optimum use of the fuel thereby mileage increases. Hero Honda Glamour Fi is fitted with a 12 litres of fuel tank capacity. You can get a fuel efficiency of around 60 kmpl. A LCD fuel gauge meter is also fitted at the dashboard which gives updates about the fuel consumption. In addition, a real time mileage indicator also shows average mileage for every 10 seconds.

Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system works for the betterment of power, pickup and mileage. To cover 0-60 kmph of sprint, Hero Honda Glamour Fi takes only 7.3 seconds. It has a top speed of 94 kmph as well.

Hero Honda Glamour Colors

The Hero Honda Glamour has various stunning colour options and modern graphics mostly on the fuel tank. The base variant of Hero Honda Glamour comes in ebony grey metallic, black with sports red, black with frost blue, black with tornado grey, sports red and black with candy red.

While the higher-end model, Hero Honda Glamour Fi comes in only two colour schemes that are black and sporty red. The body colour is painted at front fender, fuel tank, mask, rear and side panels whereas Hero Honda Glamour Fi has body match at mask, front fender and fuel tank. It also has body colour graphics at rear side panels, it sports body colour rear view mirrors plus rear grab rail.

June 16, 2011: Hero Honda has launched today new Hero Honda Glamour and New Hero Honda Glamour Fi with new colours, graphics and a few decorative parts. The new Glamour is priced at Rs 52,500 and the new Glamour Fi tagged at Rs 59,500. The bikes have new chiseled front mask, new-age trapezoidal headlight, new visor, aerodynamic shroud, new silencer cover and racy graphics. In addition to these changes, the Glamour has two new shades such as Candy Blazing Red and Black with Vibrant Orange, while Glamour Fi now comes with additional Candy Blazing Red and Shield Gold Metallic shades.
