Few days after the next gen Bajaj Avenger images surfaced over the internet, recently we found another set of spy images and thankfully, they are the clearest this time. The two models of the new Avenger range namely Avenger Street and Avenger Cruise were recently snapped at a testing facility, which is rumoured to be the Bajaj’s production plant in Chakan. During the reveal of the spy images of the Avenger Street few days ago, when other websites were claiming that it has been equipped with a 200cc engine, we pointed out that the mill used is a 220cc oil-cooled, which eventually turned out to be true.

Earlier, the spy images didn’t revealed much about the bikes and the two-wheeler community was in a big discussion of whether the bikes will be powered by a 200cc engine or a 220cc one. However, the clouds of doubt cleared as soon as the new spy images of the bikes emerged. As seen in the pictures, the two bikes will come powered by the same 220cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with oil cooler that serves the existing versions. Earlier, there were speculations that the new models of Bajaj Avenger will draw power from the 200cc, liquid-cooled engine that was used in the retired Pulsar 200 NS. There is still a possibility as Bajaj had revealed to launch three models of the Avenger, out of which one is still waiting to see the sunlight.

Bajaj Avenger 220 Street will come wrapped in an all-black theme that seems majorly inspired from the Harley Davidson Street 750. Furthermore, the black alloy wheels have also been added to the package to give a premium touch. The fuel tank gets a chrome badging and the clear lens turning blinkers add a more sophisticated touch. On the other hand, the Avenger 220 Cruise belongs more on the chromy side and resembles the existing model. The side of the fuel tank section, instrument cluster mounting on the tank, the engine compartment and exhaust, all have been given a chromed treatment to enhance the overall styling.

While we also heard that Bajaj will be launching the new Avengers in the first week of October, which didn’t turned out to be true. With the festive season approaching, we can expect the bikes to reach the dealerships within a week or two.

Stay tuned for more updates!
