Yamaha recently launched the all-new YZF R2 in India.
Its pricing starts at Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 55,150 more expensive than the base R15 V4.
There is also a top-spec M variant priced at Rs 2.53 lakh (ex-showroom), and it features adjustable suspension, keyless ignition and different paint scheme.
The R2 looks slightly larger than the R15 V4, and gets sharper panels, along with some striking colour options.
It comes with a 204cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 26.5 PS and 19.1 Nm, which is 8.1 PS and 4.9 Nm more than the R15.
It features a 5-inch TFT console, with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts and more.
There is also dual channel ABS, switchable traction control, quickshifter, and ride modes: Street, Rain, and Road.
In the Indian market, the Yamaha R2 competes with the KTM RC 200, Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF, and Hero Karizma XMR.
