Enduro R is a purpose-built off-road bike, as compared to a 390 Adventure, which is meant for touring long distance, and has decent off-road capability

At Rs 3,36,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is Rs 30,000 more affordable than the 390 Adventure, but it misses out on a lot of comfort features

It looks like a proper dirt bike with its tall stance and compact looks; the rear end looks similar to the 390 Adventure but a simpler front end

While it has the same engine as the 390 ADV, it gets a bigger rear sprocket which allows for quicker acceleration at lower speeds - perfect for off-roading

Being a proper trail bike, it gets a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel with tubed knobby tyres

It gets an aggressive stance for off-road riding with a straight handlebar. It has an 860mm seat height which is quite high but not as much as the international-spec bike which is 890mm

It has the same suspension setup as the 390 Adventure and even gets the same wheel travel – 200mm on the front, 205mm on the rear

It gets a narrow, 4.2-inch TFT which supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, and has turn-by-turn navigation, and SMS/call alerts

It gets a ride-by-wire throttle, switchable ABS, a dedicated switchable ABS button, switchable traction control, bidirectional quickshifter, and two ride modes: Street and Off-road

If you’re looking for a bike purely for off-road fun, the 390 Enduro R is the better pick. But if touring is your main thing with a bit of off-roading on the side, then go for the 390 Adventure
