India To Debut MotoGP 2013 Championship

India is becoming the hotspot for international motorsport as it is debuting another grand Motorbike Championship soon after beholding the first ever F1 Grand Prix Race in 2011. The news has been confirmed that the opening round of the MotoGP Racing Championship will be hosted by India at the Buddh International Circuit in NCR, bringing the 63 years old sports event to India. This circuit has also been awarded with the '2011 Motorsport Facility of the Year' award for the flawless execution of India's first Formula One Grand Prix in 2011 and now it is again going to witness another big event to craete hsitory.

India To Debut MotoGP 2013 Championship

This premier motorcycle racing series is heading towards Indian sub-continent for the first time in its glorious past bringing along with it speed, thrill and skill for the viewers. The year 2011 has opened the eyes of international motorsport organization to take notice of our country as a motorsport destination in the years to come. The news has officially been declared by the federation which manages MotoGP events, Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), that India will coordinate the inauguarl race of the MotoGP 2013 event at Buddh International Circuit (BIC). In 2011, Mahindra also entered in the championship with its new Mahindra Racing Team and became the first Indian manufacturer who participated in the pinnacle motorcycle road-racing championship in the world, MotoGP.

Jorge Lorenzo, the MotoGP factory rider of Yamaha visited the Indian circuit and stated that the wide 5.141 km racetrack is all set to appear on the calendar of MotoGP. Even the international car and motorcycle manufacturers are showing keen interest in the Indian circuit and its potential to hold world class events to showcase their products. MotoGP is an eighteen race series visiting thirteen countries, four continents and with pan-global television coverage and this sports event has been administrated by commercial rights owners Dorna Sports under the supervision of the FIM since 1992. India is going to face more such type of event as BIC might also holds World Superbike Championship in 2013, thus bringing heart throbing excitement and fun for the lovers of bike racing events.
