BMW Motorrad: Another reason for celebration

The morning of May 6th 2011 was different from other days for the legendary bike manufacturing company BMW Motorrat. It was 88 years back on the same day when the foundation stone of legendary company was laid down. And then since its inception the legendary BMW Motorrad has proudly carried its history of rich heritage and setting up the new milestones on its way. During this long journey of 88 years company had faced various problems to maintain its qualitative production even if it was the period of World war or any other natural calamity. The company never compromised with any situation and continuously endeavoured in upgrading its motorcycles with latest technical features to improve their performance.

 



Another reason to cheer the day was the launch of two millionth bike from BMW Motorrad from its manufacturing plant located at Berlin Spandau. BMW Motorrad started the production of BMW bikes in this plant from 1969 and since then this plant is  successfully working without any interruption and at present it is exporting bikes to 130 countries of  the world.  To celebrate this glorious event of milestone from BMW Motorrad a special programme was organized under the auspice of Mr. Klaus Wowereit, Governing Mayor of Berlin to bless the organization.

Another most attractive event of this celebration was display of the special edition of BMW’s famous bike BMW R 1200GS manufactured at Berlin Plant among the specially invited VIKPs and journalists and the legendary free style street bike rider Chris Pfeiffer who is also known ‘Stunt God’ by the stunt bike lovers throughout the world. Addressing to the press conference on this occasion Mr. Pfeiffer said that he is happy to be a part of special moment in the history of BMW Motorrad. He said that he is proud to witness the launch of two millionth BMW motorcycle. He also added that though he had a hectic engagements but such event do not come every day so he preferred to be the part of this important occasion.

BMW motor bike are equally popular in Indian bike market also. Besides standard BMW models in India Other India Bound Models Are Bmw K1300s, Bmw K, Bmw S that are higly appraised by the  high profile bike riders in India.
