Suzuki is going to issue a recall for its GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F superbikes due to the radiator hose concern. Customers owning the affected units of the motorcycles will be contacted by the company and their bike will be fitted with a new hose pipe at free of cost. Suzuki has already recalled 174 registered units of the GSX-S1000/GSX-S1000F in the UK to change the part. Now, the company will conduct the similar process for the motorcycles that have been sold in India.

Both the Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F were launched recently in India with a price tag of Rs. 12.25 lacs and Rs. 12.70 lacs respectively (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Mechanically, both of the motorcycles are exactly similar and uses the same 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline 4-cylinder motor. Coupled to an electronic fuel injection system, it makes 144bhp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and delivers torque upto 106Nm at 9,500rpm.

The GSX-S1000 is a naked sport superbike, while the GSX-S1000F is a sport tourer. Aesthetically, both of them are similar except the full body front fairing on the latter one, to make it touring compatible. The machines have been equipped with some advanced features like fully adjustable KYB suspension set-up, Dual front and single rear disc brakes, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), traction control, fat Dunlop Sportmax D214 tyres (120/70 section front/190/50 section rear) and much more.
