The rising two wheeler manufacturer of the Indian market, Mahindra Two Wheelers is working on a new 300cc engine for Mojo 300 at their Pune R&D facility. First Prototype of the bike was showcased in winters of 2010 with its commuter Stallio. After that, the bike showcased again at the 2012 Auto Expo. Even after a long span of time, the company is not launching the bike, although spy shots of the test bike are coming out. So, what is the reason of this delay in launch?

Here is your answer, the previuos model of the bike was totally developed in Italy, which might cost very high according to the Indian market. So, the company is redeveloping the bike in its Indian R&D centre at Pune to cut down the cost, while maintaining the performance and quality. The new powertrain of the bike gets benefit of experience of the company's MotoGP racing Team.

In an interview with Mr. Viren Popli, Executive Vice President, Mahindra Two Wheelers, we asked about delay in the launch of Mojo 300. He said, "The Mojo when it was unveiled was just a concept. The masses were taken aback by the design but ever since then we at Mahindra Two Wheelers have been making multiple changes to the motorcycle. Our Pune plant is developing a special 300cc motor that is being greatly influenced by the MotoGP Mahindra Racing Team. The Bike still has a lot of progress and development to go through. The bike is still under rigorous testing but there is no definite time scale as to when we can have the bike displayed for the public."

According to the statement, Mahindra Mojo 300 will still take a long time for debut in the market, while just around 2 months have been left for the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. So, we can't expect the bike to be launched at the event, however the company might launch updated Rodeo RZ scooter there.
