First Indian Scout arrived in India, on display at the Gurgaon dealership

After commencing bookings of the all new 2015 Indian Scout by Polaris India on 27th August, the first Indian Scout has finally arrived in India. The bike has been put on display at the Indian Motorcycle Dealership in Gurgaon. However, the deliveries are not likely to happen at the outlet.

The 2015 Indian Scout is a perfect combination of vintage and modern designing with its classic cruiser look and advance V-twin engine. The stylish DNA of the original Indian Scout is evident in this new model. Its styling and engineering are integrated in a refined, no-frill style. In authentic Indian Motorcycle fashion, major components are visible to celebrate motorcycle’s mechanical beauty and grace.
Powering the Indian Scout is an all new and the first liquid-cooled Indian Motorcycle engine, which comes mated to a smooth 6-speed transmission. The 1133cc Scout Engine is a modern V-Twin motor that's visually stunning and has a soul-stirring exhaust note. Using a fuel injection system, it churns out 100bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 97.7Nm. The lightweight chassis enhances the maneuverability, while the premium suspension keeps the ride smooth and offers rear suspension adjustability.
The Indian Scout has been priced in India at Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it will compete with the mid-range of Harley Davidson motorcycles available here.
