Yamaha being successful with the sports bikes in India, they launched their 110cc non-geared two-wheeler Alpha which is one of the best offerings in its category. The scooter appears elegant and carries all the required features. Its proper dimensions and good balance not only makes it easy to ride but also gives more confidence to the rider on the road. Alpha is light in weight that can prove helpful for the rider to handle the it efficiently and can be driven by the females with ease. It has a drawback that it does not have disc brakes, whereas all the other scooters in this segment come equipped with disc brakes at the front end for optimum safety. The company claimed mileage of Alpha is 63 kmpl and the engine churns out a maximum power of 7 bhp at 7500 rpm. Its strong competitor in the market is Honda Dio, Dio is much better than Alpha in appearance and its headlight also offers a better view of the road which is very helpful on Indian roads.
