R2 is powered by a 204cc liquid-cooled engine, whereas the R15 gets a 155cc liquid-cooled engine

The R2 makes 25.6 PS and 19.1 Nm, which is 8.1 PS and 4.9 Nm more than the R15

R2 gets a 282 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear

R15 also gets the same braking setup as the R2

R2 gets a KYB inverted fork as standard; meanwhile, the top ‘M’ variant gets an adjustable fork

Unlike the R15 4V, which gets a Deltabox frame, the R2 comes with an all-new steel tube diamond-type frame

The R2 has a kerb weight of 149 kg , whereas the R15 weighs 141 kg

The Yamaha R2 gets a TFT display as standard, whereas the R15 gets a TFT console only on the top variant

The R2 gets adjustable brake and clutch levers, and adjustable rider footpegs. the R15 gets non-adjustable units
