TVS has launched its new family oriented e-scooter in India, priced at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).

It gets a unique design thanks to its boxy panels, tall visor, flat single piece seat and 6 premium colour options.
It gets a 3.1kWh battery pack which powers its 2.1kW hub motor.
It comes with an impressive claimed range of 158km. However the top speed is limited to just 68kmph.
The Orbiter gets a 650W charger which can charge this e-scooter from 0 to 80% in 4 hours 10 minutes.
It runs on a 14-inch front and a 12-inch rear alloy wheel setup with drum brakes at both ends with CBS (combined braking system).
It is a pretty practical as it gets a big 34-litre underseat storage, a convenient open cubby hole at the front and a 290mm long floorboard.
Decent set of features too - all LED lights, a 5.5-inch LCD coloured console with smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation and SMS call alerts
Other than this, it gets regenerative braking, automatic hill-hold assist, a reverse mode, geo-fencing, crash/fall alert, tow alert, distance to empty and a USB charging port.
The TVS Orbiter competes with the Ather Rizta S, Bajaj Chetak 3001, Ola S1 X 3kWh and Vida VX2 Go.
