We recently rode the Honda CB125 Hornet & here’s what we think about its real-world performance

Looks quite sporty & aggressive with the tank extensions - perfect for the youth

Fit & finish are really good - no panel gaps or slight imperfections & the paint finish feels premium

The 125cc engine has good bottom-end grunt & handles city riding well

The engine is not as refined as other Honda bikes - Vibrations start between 5,000rpm to 6,000rpm

The bike is quite agile & nimble - Perfect for cutting through city traffic & also for carving corners

Ride quality is a bit stiff & the bike isn’t able to handle bad patches of road well - A big letdown

Braking performance is decent but brake lever lacks adequate feedback

The relaxed & upright riding posture is very comfortable - but can feel cramped for taller riders

The TFT console is easy to read & feels quite upmarket - offers good visibility under most lighting conditions

The CB125 Hornet ticks all the right boxes for being a good sporty commuter & is perfect for younger riders
